In the heart of Vancouver’s Brewery Creek, Main Street Brewing Company is housed in a 1913 heritage building off Scotia Street at 261 East 7th Ave. The brainchild of Portland Craft’s Cameron Forsyth and Nigel Pike of The Cascade Company, the brewery was named after where they live, work drink and play – Main Street!
One of the best things about Main Street Brewing is their beautiful, open-concept tasting room. Open 7 days a week until 11PM, you can drop by to fill your growler, have a drink and snack in the tasting room and watch the brewers at work.
For the beer nerds out there, there’s one thing that makes Main Street Brewing an absolute must visit; their casks! They have four cask handles built permanently into the bar that feature a constantly rotating, one-off casks. There’s always something new to try!
While “the main thing is beer”, their food is also delicious! The daily bar menu is all locally-sourced and organic, what’s not to love? Ranging from traditional beer snacks like beef jerky and peanuts to charcuterie and event a vegan, gluten-free stew bowl there’s something for every palate.
